About Sinkfall Recycling

Sinkfall Recycling started when the director Brian Armistead, who at the time was demolishing and rebuilding properties, thought how stupid it was to pay for all of the demolition waste to be removed then have to buy it back as another product. So when he came across a suitable site he decided to buy it and develop it into a Waste Transfer Station with 30 skips and 1 vehicle…this is where the story began.

20 Years of recycling

The company has gone from strength to strength and now, over 15 years later, operates from the same site at Sinkfall Farm on the outskirts of Barrow-in-Furness.  From our site we are able to tip, sort and recycle all kinds of waste on a daily basis and from this we divert up to 97% of waste away from landfill.   With 5 skip wagons and dedicated staff we are able to provide the services which we are renowned for in the local area.

A Family run business

Continued investment in equipment and staff has made us a major player for all your waste management requirements within Furness and the South Lakes. As a family run business with many years of experience, we pride ourselves with our reliable and professional service which we give all our customers, new and old.   We are committed to customer care and each service that we provide is tailored to our customer’s individual requirements. In this industry, you will find that our service is hard to beat!

Supplies

As well as bringing in the waste we also supply a 100% recycled PAS100 compost, good quality Top Soil, Walling stone, Granite Kerbs, Granite Setts and Road Plainings. The compost is processed on site from the Green Waste brought in from Barrow Borough Council and South Lakeland District Councils kerbside collections.
